A kid named google????!!

You probably have heard this or got it by email, but I thought this was cute enough to be posted on my blog!

We have always heard about babies named after famous football players, or singers, but for a kid to be named after an electronic site!! Now, this is new.

The email I got states that a lebanese family residing in Sweden had a baby boy, so the father went to google to search for a nice name for his son. Apparently; he got bored from searching and a bulb was lit in his head; why not name the baby after the site; i.e. google? and that's exactly what he did!!

Google learned about this baby, who is the first in the world to be named after the famous search engine, and they sent the family valuable gifts for the kid.

I believe that the family has great hopes for their newborn baby; he might become famous himself one day!

But what do you think they will name their second baby??? Yahoo??

Here is the official website and here are some pictures!

hmm...this is pretty sad. people shouldn't mess around with names, especially if its with the purpose of some short lived fame.

well no one will ever name their kid Yahoo because Yahoo comes from Gulliver's Travels which refers to a species of people who are barbaric or primative or brutes.

i think whats funny is that in the near future google might tank, or it might get a bad reputation and that will scar the kid through highschool. the funny part is that the father and mother are arab...

which means they'll be called "Abu Google" and "Umm Google".

poetic justice

I think he will be great in FINDING lost stuff at his home and SEARCHING his brother's room :)

I think its not fair to the child..he have the right upon his parents for a good name...and google is not a good name for a person :) specially if he comes back to Lebanon or the arab world...children will have time to invent ways to mock upon his name..

Ma3goool names are all out..so a guy can name his son Google...ta3aaal ya gooogle..

i think google is not a proper name and the parents should think more it is not fair to the child no doubt he won't get mocked and teased at school (pooooooooooooooooor kid)!
