Forbidden Fun!!

So we all were tagged by Hareega; he simply copied and pasted the JP list of citizens to include all in it. He stated in his post that his tag questions might be perceived as perverted while his sole objective was to end the tagging craze.  

Frankly; I found this tag to be humorous and in no way offending; otherwise I wouldn't have engaged in it and answered it publicly which caused some of my readers to get angry and send me some comments expressing their anger and disappointment.

As a sign of respect to their opinions; I removed the post and sent them an apology; however; I don't feel that I did something outrageous and to be honest; I am not quite sure as to why they got offended in the first place??!

I saw this tag dare funny; it is not a crime to make fun of ourselves every once in a while and not take ourselves too seriously. The questions were daring; I can't deny that, but in no way I found them offending religiously or anything … so lighten up guys and consider this a break from all the seriousness around us!

This is my opinion only; and I do apologize for those who do not share it. I always speak my mind and defend my beliefs, so I think that some have overreacted on something that could have been brushed off as a light hearted fun, or oops; I forgot that we are not allowed to have some fun!!!

I chose to delete the post because readers overreacted and took the tag way too seriously .. ekhtasart el shar .. LOL

I wouldn't post if I were you. I found his questions to be in bad taste. Like Khalidah, I assumed the tag to be a joke-- but not questions I would be obligated to answer (if he had tagged me).
You know, I was raised to be an honest person and speak the whole truth in love, but I'm learning that sometimes just because people ask a question, doesn't mean I'm obligated to answer.

I haven't read your answers or people's comments but reading your thread above I can expect what they have been, maybe they were honest ones and maybe they were not, but taking them can be so harsh and in that case you probably did the right thing and i salute you for the decision's you've made.

I'm just wondering if you were a guy wouldn't the reaction be different?

Hareega, I found your tag to be very much comic and lighthearted .. and I really thought that we as citizens are sharing things like close friends .. well .. apparently not ..

dozz, thank you .. but does this mean I should not care about you or your comments as a reader? as I said in my first comment above; I am damned if I do and damned if I don't .. so I chose to post the tag and then people got carried away (I wonder why they got offended in the first place), and again, I chose to remove the post, regardless of my reasons to do the first act or the second, I expect people to respect my choices as much as I respect their opinions!

I do respect your choice (although i disagree with it)... but i cant help to wonder why did u feel u owe those people an *apology* while they are the ones who were intolerant to your decision to post it in the first place? Maybe u should have asked them to respect ur choices instead of sending an apology!!

Anyways, i understand that its was probably courageous (actually, i dont because the questions were as lame as any other tag, if u ask me) , and understand the social pressure following it that made u make such retraction..
